Garage Sale Scores - Vintage Tupperware Cream & Sugar Set

Yes, I know more Tupperware...but it was $1! How was I supposed to leave it there??

It bought back fond memories of being at my grandparents and eating cereal. Grandpa and Grandma W. kept their sugar on the table, in a sugar container just like these. When we had cereal we would dish it out with a spoon or Grandpa would pour it on for me. Good memories. :)

Because, I don't eat sugar on my cereal anymore...I'm thinking about putting them in the coffee corner I want to have in my house! :) They should match my Pfaltzgraff, too!

Step Aside Strawberry Shortcake... {Simplicity 1459}

...A new redhead is in town!
I think this dress is adorbs! (Adorable) Or as Strawberry Shortcakes says "Berry Cute!!"

I told Jewel last Thursday night that I would like a Strawberry Shortcake dress for Sunday.
She says that I "have never heard of Monday" because I like telling her on Thursday's that I want a new dress to wear on Sunday to church! haha

I collect Strawberry Shortcake.
I know that may seem weird...since Strawberry Shortcake has red hair I have always loved her!

This fabric had been sitting in my Strawberry Shortcake stuff and it was just time for me to get a dress out of it!
There wasn't enough for an entire dress. I was five when we bought the fabric and I've grown since then.
At Walmart, we found green and white striped fabric and it matches Strawberry Shortcake's iconic tights! What a 'berry' perfect match!

Okay! Let's talk about my hair!!
My hair is naturally very straight. I love putting it up into curlers and getting some curls into it!
Usually, my Mom puts it up for me but I finally figured out how to do it myself! (It takes some practice) Now I can do it whenever I want!
Sunday, when we took the pictures was the first time "going out" having my hair curled completely by myself!
A friend of mine gave me this necklace! Such a sweet and thoughtful gift!

Have a berry good day!

Peter Cottontail

I was on looking out our back door when at the end of the patio I noticed this little rabbit. By the time I got back with my camera he was gone. I slowly crept outside in hopes of seeing him. When I came around the corner of the porch...there he was. Just 5 feet from me! I snapped a few pictures before he hopped away!

See you later!

Garage Sale Scores - Bias Binding Bundle

One of my favorite finds from our garage sale-ing day was this bundle of bias binding!

For those of you who don't know, bias binding is another way to finish (bind) the edges of fabric. Such as armholes and necklines. (Just to name two ;))
You can see some at work in the top I made for 4th of July HERE.

The bundle included a wide variety of color, sizes and lengths. For a dollar I think it was a pretty good deal. Even though, some may be to short to do anything with...

My favorites are the pastels!! The lavender, powder pink, peach, sky blue, mint and yellow!?!?! Can I have an outfit of each color, please!

July Stashbusting Overview

Another month is over and yet again, I didn't make a difference in my stash.

Wait. Yes, I did.

Just in...not out.

I found some fabric thrifting (9 yards worth) and my Grandma Janet is downsizing. She let me have, I'm guessing, over 25 yards worth of her stash. I didn't measure any of it but it's all pre-washed, folded and waiting for me to get sewing!

I know this is a bummer of a "stashbusting overview" post...but I'm using it to keep myself accountable.

Hopefully, August's overview will be "sew" much more exciting! ;)
