Reading Railroad

 

We were in Kearney this past couple of days.  Before we left for home, we stopped at a Thrift Store. It was called U Can Offer, with all proceeds going to provide cancer patients anything from transportation to snow removal. I really wanted to make an effort to at least check it out. And I found something...a set of vintage train bookends!

 

 

I LOVE 'EM! At the moment they are sitting on top of the bookshelf in the living room. I haven't decided if they are going to stay there a while or be packed away. Most likely the first. ;)

Eleven Minutes...



 

This evening at 6:24pm I went outside to look at the sunset. It was kind of...boring. I thought to myself "Hmmm no picture of the sunset tonight. It's lame." Hello! About to be in for a big surprise!

6:35pm (11 minutes later) Dad calls to me from outside and says "Jewel! Come look at the sunset! Bring your camera." I doubted that it was anything spectacular because of what it looked liked a few minutes before hand. How long will it take me to remember that sunsets change every minute!
